In order to best support our clients, we have the following minimum technology requirements. These requirements may change from time to time and will be updated on this website.
Security Requirements
- All accounts should be protected with Multi Factor Authentication at a minimum with a preference to phishing-resistant MFA
- A minimum of two Administrative accounts for each platform or service, one to be held by Adept IT and one to be held by the client
- DNS provider should support DNS SEC, Text Records to create SPF, DKIM and DMARC records
- A valid contact for financial purposes shall be listed on every domain not hosted by Adept IT
Personal Computer Minimum Requirements
- Less than 3 years old OR covered by manufacturer’s warranty and not exceeding 6 years
- Tier 1 business grade vendors (eg HP, Dell) and business grade models
- Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 Processor or higher
- 16GB RAM minimum
- Solid State Disk 256GB or higher primary disk
- Windows 11 Professional, Business or Enterprise
- Microsoft Office 2024 or newer; or ; Microsoft 365
Network Minimum Requirements
- Next Generation Firewall with active subscription (eg FortiGate, Meraki, Aruba, Sophos)
- Business grade managed switches & Wireless Access Points (eg Aruba, FortiNet, Meraki, Unifi)
- Wireless Access Points should support WPA2 at a minimum, with WPA3 being preferred
- NBN 50/20 service or higher
Server Requirements
- Tier 1 hardware vendor (eg HPE, Dell) less than 5 years old
- Covered by manufacturer’s Next Business Day warranty (or higher)
- Windows Server 2022 Standard or higher
- Solid State Disks with hardware RAID controller, RAID1/5/6/10
- Synology DSM 7 or higher
